Mission

To organize for mutual protection in the water
To enjoy safe diving and related activities
To encourage, promote, and aid in the instruction and proper use of skin and SCUBA diving equipment.
To participate in skin and SCUBA diving activities, and to develop and improve the water skills of UAS members.
To promote the conservation of aquatic life and environment.
To develop and advance knowledge and understanding of aquatic ecology.
To provide public service in the areas of water safety, rescue, and recovery assistance.
To develop a sense of comaraderie, pride, awareness, and enjoyment among our youth for the challenges and opportunities they will experience by an involvement in aquatic activities and the marine environment.
To support and promote the National Association of Black Scuba Divers(NABS), and as the originating club, to serve as a model for all clubs.
